About

BOOST is a framework to help get a website going. It is built on top of Codeigniter MVC framework and Postgres database.

Boost isn't quite as much as Drupal, Joomla or Wordpress, but it's a little more than Codeigniter, CakePHP or Trax. It doesn't implement a full blown Content Mangement system. That's not the goal. Boost intends to give a basic framework to get a site/web application started. It gives a novice something to start with, look at and learn, as well as tweak and play around with while starting out.

Boost has been used in India and Nepal to teach adults and children in villages the basics of web site creation.
